Terry and I took CPE together--we shared a lot of difficult times during that year long residency--he was a good friend.

Terry was only a part of my life for a short time but he made such an impression on my life and family. I first met Terry when my mother was in the NSICU at Charleston General Hospital. He paid her a visit in her hospital room and we became quick friends. After that first meeting he made a point of making home visits to my mothers home where she was dying from a terminal illness. It seemed that Terry had a 6th sense about his timing of his visits to their home because he always seemed to show up just when we needed him most. He would pray with our family and he always knew exactly what to say to give us comfort. Terry would end up baptizing me at the Madison Baptist Church. He also was the pastor for my mothers funeral service. Even after her death he would stop by my workplace, where I was a pharmacist, just to say hello and to see how I was doing. Shortly after this time, he moved to the Huntington area where we lost touch and I also moved to Missouri. Thanks to a Facebook I was informed of his death by a posting of another one of our common friends. Unfortunately, I did not know about his untimely death until today. I must say I was totally shocked and saddened to hear the news. Terry's wife also sang at my mothers funeral. She has a beautiful voice and they both will always be remembered very fondly by me and my family. Thank you Terry for everything! Heaven has certainly gained another angel.

I remember Terry as a super basketball player and all around great guy at Huntington East High School '67-'70'. My sympathy to his family.

Terry was a great man of God and a good friend. We enjoyed many trips and golf outings together. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around.
