Eileen Wasson Obituary
BLUE MOUND - Mrs. Eileen Randall Wasson, age 86, of Madison, Indiana, a former resident of Blue Mound, Illinois, entered this life on November 20, 1921, in Christian County, Illinois, the daughter of Irl & Audrey Colclasure Randall, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Blue Mound and was a 1939, graduate of Blue Mound High School. She attended Business School in Decatur, Illinois. She was united in marriage on August 29, 1947, in Blue Mound to Harold M. Wasson, to this union arrived a son and a daughter to bless their home. She worked as a secretary in the medical field at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland for several years. She also had worked earlier in life as a secretary for several insurance companies. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She resided in Severna Park, Maryland for 47 years and was a member of the Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, there serving on various committees and was treasurer for several years. She was also a charter member and served as regent of Fort Severn Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as a recent member of the John Paul Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Madison; past co-chairman of the Severna Park Book Club and a member of the Colonial Dames, Severna Park Chapter. She served for many years as a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed genealogy, painting, needle work, tatting, quilting, gardening, caning, playing the mandolin, the piano and the organ. She had resided in Madison since June 2007. Eileen died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 10:30 am at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Wasson will be missed by her loving daughter: Caryl Lynne Liptak & her husband: Rodney of Madison, Indiana; her loving son: Harold Randall Wasson of Madison, Indiana; her loving grandchildren: David Abram Wilson & Lindsey Janine Wilson; her sisters in law: Eilleen Embry of Bloomington, Illinois and Ramona Curtis of Catlin, Illinois; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: Irl & Audrey Colclasure Randall; her husband: Harold M. Wasson died on April 13, 1999; her half sister: Marian Sughrue. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 1:00 pm, by the Reverend Ellen B. Moma, at the First Christian Church of Blue Mound, 100 South Lewis Street in Blue Mound, Illinois. Interment will follow in the Hall Cemetery in Blue Mound, Illinois. Friends may call Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 11:00 am until time of the service at the First Christian Church of Blue Mound at 100 South Lewis Street in Blue Mound, Illinois.
