COLLEEN LaMacchia Obituary

LaMACCHIA, COLLEEN, 77, of Palmetto Bay, passed away February 25, 2010. She was born a Conch in Key West, FL on 9/14/1932. She graduated Miami H.S. as Valedictorian in 1948. At age 19, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Miami with a BA in Elementary Education and then began her lifelong teaching career at Mae M. Walters Elementary School in Hialeah, FL. She married Phillip Paul LaMacchia in 1951. She is predeceased by husband, Phillip and son, Phil "Chip." She is survived by sons, Michael (Teresa) and Tim (Debbie); grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Michelle, Jessie, Emily, Mia and Nichole; brother, Pat Lunn (Cher) and nephews, Pat and Mike Lunn (Debra). Memorial contributions in support of Alzheimer's Research can me made on Colleen's Tribute page at www.alz.org A 10 AM Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 3/2 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7270 SW 120 Street with burial following at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
