Helen Jean Norcross

1928 - 2016

NORCROSS, Helen Jean, age 87, of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in Brentwood, after a long illness. Born Helen Jean Hickey on Aug. 14, 1928, in Corunna Mich., she was a devout Christian and active in the church her entire life. Helen was a beloved and highly valued participating member of Christ the King Anglican Church in Winchester. She loved youth and music ministries and was a prayer life role model for many. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Walter Norcross to whom she was married for 55 years; parents, Dewey and Bernice (Richardson) Hickey; son, Joel Norcross; sister, Ruth; and brothers, James and Robert Hickey. Helen is survived by her children, Charles Norcross (Kellye) of Franklin, Michael Norcross of Spring Hill, Fla. and Vickie Warren (Walter) of Man-chester; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Norcross of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Earl Hickey of O'Brien, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and multiple great and great-great-grandchildren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Christ the King Anglican Church in Winchester. A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Anglican Church with Father Bill Midgett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Anglican Church, Winchester, TN or Gentiva Hospice of Nashville, TN.
