HELEN "SUE" BAKER Helen Sue Baker, 81, slipped into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX Sue was born August 31, 1942, in Denison, Texas, the daughter of Carl Franklin and Lula Francis (Cox) Roberts. She was preceded in death by daughter Gabrielle Suter-Killgo, sister Joyce Spencer, brothers Bill Roberts, Tommy Roberts, Mickey Roberts, Bud Roberts, ex-husband Lee Roy Baker, and her dear friend Billy Worthington. Sue is survived by daughters Misty Grant and husband John, Delania Conner and husband Bran, Michelle Crerend and husband Michael, Mandy Baker and husband Ken Niblet. Grandchildren included Trevor Grant, Synah Grant, Joshua Conner, Jacob Conner, Britany Watkins, Austin McLain, Christian Killgo, Gage Suter-Killgo, Gracie Killgo, and Emma Niblet. Great Grands are Brianna Mastrain, Troy Mastrain, Tyson Hatch, Tayler Hatch, Lavender Conner, Jayden Watkins, Piper Watkins, Coy Watkins, Paxtyn McLain, Vann McLain and one Great Great Grand Emberly Sue Hatch. Sue loved family and never met a stranger. She was a foster parent for 10 years, welcoming into her home over 60 children she provided love and care as well as raising Terry Armstrong, Butch 'Leo' Daszkiwicz, Katlin McBride, Kiara Scott, Kierstan Scott beyond the foster care purview. Over the years Sue was a hard worker. Besides fostering, gardening, canning most of our food in her earlier years, sewing, and making wedding cakes, she also worked at Levi's, Diaper Jean's, and Johnson and Johnson and was currently working for DISD at the high school cafeteria. Sue had a servant's heart and loved the Lord. She was a member of Twin City Baptist Church of Sherman Texas. Although her passing leaves a void in all of our lives she will live on forever in our hearts. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 5 pm.
