There are so many aspects to Collin's life that are reflected here. Although I never met Collin, I'd like to add one more perspective. I host international homestay students. Collin was so very nice to my Saudi student Amir at the Ballroom. Amir talked about him all the time. And my Japanese student Fumito only met Collin once, and yet is moved to tears and shock today as he hears the news. Collin was a great and generous friend to Amir and went out of his way to make him feel welcome. I hope Collin's family can take some solace in knowing how his warmth and kindness touched people from all walks of life.

I have no words that could come close to explaining how much love I saw shared May 6th. The fact that complete strangers bonded over something, someone so dear, it's profound.
In the past few weeks I've had the privilege and honor of learning more about my cohorts lives and the determination of their spirits then I ever would have thought I could.
If anything rang true within yesterday and the few days prior it's that he will be missed, he will surely not be forgotten, and that we all need to pay a little bit closer attention to those we -do- have in our lives and treat everyone with the idea of, “how can I make this person feel amazing,” in mind.
It's been a time, my friend. It's been said over, and over, and over again in the last few weeks, but you were -THE- dude.
I sure hope to amount to even half of the stature of your character.

I was so very saddened and shocked to hear of the loss of Colin. I can't say that I knew him well. Only that I bought two bikes from him at the bike shop. However, Colin was so incredibly helpful, kind and friendly, that he quickly became my resource for all things having to do with bikes. And I liked to consider him a friend. After reading some of the comments here, I see that this was just his personality. He was a warm and friendly young man whom I always enjoyed talking to. I will miss seeing his smiling face. And I'm sad that I won't get the opportunity to know him better. My sincerest of condolences to his family and to all of the people who were fortunate enough to be touched by his friendly spirit.

I knew him a while back. When I was 15-17 He was at my house or I was at his. I house sat for his parents. We lost contact after I started having chronic pain. I had started talking to him again in April.
He taught me so much about being outgoing around large groups of people. We had so much fun with wooden swords and Bow staff on my back Deck. Throwing knives. Going to the river. I don't remember everything I did when I was that age. I remember him. always pushing me to write more run more... be more. He said when we were 30 he was going to show up at my house with camping gear and we were going to find bigfoot. He remembered that promise when we met each other. it had been 8 years.
So many people are grey. Collin was one of the most vibrant people I've ever met. Never judging. I could go on for hours about Wasp nests and firework fights.
He taught me I was worth being in the front of a picture not the back. He changed my life and my path.

To say Collin and I became friends instantly would be an understatement. The guy had a gift for humor, an infectious smile, and was always willing to do the craziest things to brighten up the workday. During the time I knew him, from working at gregg's, to going to shows, mountain biking @ tiger and duthie, to dancing @ the ball room and the greenlake house, Collin was always the life of the party and truly a light in the lives of Everyone who knew him. You will be missed.

To my fallen brother. I love and miss you so much and i will forever be indebted to you heart, love and kindness. He was one of the first friends i made coming back to seattle and introduced a new level of being radical! Thank you to his family for bringing him into this world and for sharing him with us! Collin is/ will always be with us and continues... from the time we ride on the burke, hit tiger mtn and get rad, smile, hug, cry, act, direct, drive, get a flat, get stuck, use the POS system at Greggs... he is always with us and i am left hurting.. but so grateful. Miss you my dear brother and friend

Collin you were such a goofball with an infectious smile and I still can't believe you are really gone. I remember the bike rides we went on and how you would let me win at pool by pushing balls into the pockets when you thought I wasn't looking. Miss you and my heart goes out to your family.

So sorry to hear the news about Collin. He was a great kid in my elementary PE classes and loved to run. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family at this time of sorrow.

Collin was a drama teachers-assistant to Kelly McClain at the Marysville Theatre for Young Actors where my son, Joshua, was a student. Josh loved Collin because he was "cool and fun" and was a big "boy" like Josh! Collin helped Josh to put voice into his acting parts. He loved being around Collin! Josh and I attended a performance of "The Real Inspector Hound" that Collin directed. Collin signed a poster for Josh that read "For Josh, the little bundle of raw acting talent." and his signature. It will be a cherished treasure now as we fondly remember Collins impact on Josh's life. Collin truly was full of life and it was felt in his presence. We are honored to have crossed paths with him. We will pray for Collin's remaining family… God heals.

Collin...as anyone would tell you, could instantly light up a room. Still struggle to believe he has left us so sudden and soon- prayers are with his family in these darkest of moments. Knowing him more than half my life- and remembering him mow our neighbors yard and at the end come by to say hi or get a drink of water- always so friendly and caring.. Last time I saw Collin was 2 years ago; Im so glad I got to spend time with him catching up what had happened over the few years previous and admiring what would be happening a few years ahead. Miss and love you dearly Collin; may you keep them laughing til we are all together once more. xoxo

I remember the first time I saw this little boy who wouldn't come out from under the table for any of the teachers at his daycare. It was my 1st day and he came out for me and from that day on he was my shadow. Then his Mom and Dad had me take care of him at his house and we had so much fun. Collin and my children got to know each other. I am so very sorry for your great loss to you and your family and friends. Collin will be in our hearts always!!! He will be missed.

The short time that I got to know Collin was wonderful. His spirit, intelligence, creativity, and passion for life inspired me and touched my heart. Collin was an individual who brought joy to many peoples lives through both theatrical arts and just the art of living; my heart goes out to family and close friends. His life was undeservedly cut short. Rest in peace.

Collin was such an amazing, brilliant ball of talent, and had one of the kindest hearts I've ever had the honor of knowing. He encouraged and inspired me in so many ways, and made such an impact on my life. He was my first Puppy Love, and the best friend anyone could ask for. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be so greatly missed, and remembered. Good Luck of your Journey, Friend.

There really are no words to express my deep sadness for the loss of Collin. A young man so fun, so exceptional, to know Collin was to love him. Way too young to leave all that love him. But more than anything else, as a parent to a parent, my deepest sympathies to Laurie and Scott, because all parents know this indeed is our greatest fear, to lose a child. I know how much you both loved him and how your eyes would light up when you talked about him. He was so very loved, so deeply loved. Collin, I know Linda opened her arms and welcomed you to your next reality. Scott and Laurie, I simply have no words that can comfort your pain. Maybe just knowing how much we all loved Collin, this son you two raised to be such an amazing young man, will at least assure you we all share your loss, to know him was to love him.

I will always remember Collin's smile and openness during his student days at Sunnycrest elementary. As the years went by, whenever we saw each other at other schools, or around town, he would come up and give me a big hug.
Collin was a wonderful and caring young man and will always remain precious to me.

Collin, you were such an amazing friend. I remember our late night talks about life and struggles. I remember all the times we jammed out in my car. I remember all the adventures we went on and no matter where we went, we had so much fun. Laughing and running and dancing. Playing dress up at the thrift store, singing karaoke, busting out the numa numa dance.... all the memories I will hold close to my heart. I miss you Collin and you will forever be in my heart.

I am heavy hearted this morning w/the news of Collin's passing. However, he is in the most creative place & his gifts will continue to flourish & light the way for those who knew him. Collin worked for me at Marysville Theatre for Young Actors & the kids loved him. I hadn't heard from him in a couple of yrs. until about 3 mos. ago when he sent me an email. I am grateful for that. Blessings to his family & friends who's lives will be forever changed by his life. He has just moved on to a new & beautiful show.
