James Price Obituary
James "Jim" Lester
Price Jr.
Jim was born January 31, 1928 in Onalaska, WA to James Lester Carlton Price Sr and Myrna (Elliott) Price. He graduated from R.A. Long High School in Longview, WA with the Class of 1946. In recent years, Jim was a past Commodore of the Camano Island Yacht Club where he and his wife Eva were members. Jim was also a past President of the Lake Goodwin Community Club. He loved boating, fishing, crabbing and enjoyed competing with his friends at the local gun range. His other hobbies included going to garage sales, collecting vintage Tootsietoys, canning and preserving fruits and vegetables, cooking, bird watching and growing lots of flowers around their home.
Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Joanne Aletta Price, Barbara Alys Odegaard, Merna Jean Gilbert; second child, Susan Rochelle Price; his parents; first wife, Juanita (Mask) Olivo; and wife, Eva Frances (Ruff) Price.
Jim is survived by his children, Larry (Nancy) Price, James (Donna) Price, Debbie VonHeeder (Kerry Lyon), Billy (Michelle) Price, Mike Price, Bonnie (William) Quinn; 12 grandchildren, Lisa (Bear) Price, Sherry Price, Angie Price, Tracy (Mark) Owen, Leslie (Matarr) Jatta, Jasen (Nicki) VonHeeder, Jesse (Teia) VonHeeder, Dillon (Angie) VonHeeder, Mandy Kivisto, Susan Holzem, Rachel Holzem, Karlene Swanson; 15 great-grandchildren, stepson Gary (Debbie) Ruff, and seven step-grandchildren.
If you knew Jim, you had a friend for life. A memorial service will be held at the Lake Goodwin Community Club, 17323 – 42nd Avenue NW, Stanwood, WA on Sunday, January 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.

I miss you grandpa and grandma i remember spending 4th of july on the lake and the smell of the garage was a smell that i will always remember and always when i smell it think of them i love you

Jim, you will be dearly missed by all. You were the nicest father in law anyone can ask for. I will always remember the boat rides and water-skiing on lake Goodwin. Jim and Eva, we will always love you.

I am Rita Odegaard, I was sorry to hear about Uncle Jim and Aunt Eva. Uncle Jim was My Jim's favorite uncle and friend he loved all of his uncles but Jim and Jim had a lot in common. i will always remember the time he came up and went out on the Apache with us, great guy and great times. Jim was my grandpa and he was great. I remember when I was younger he came with eva to grandparents day at my school and I will always remember that. I also have a really nice memory of grandpa letting drive his boat. I really, really miss him.
