Oliver Cox

1944 - 2023

Oliver Cox May 29, 1944 - February 20, 2023 Oliver Seto Cox, 78, of Camano Island, WA passed away on February 20, 2023. He was born in Honolulu, HI on May 29,1944 to Wai Seto and Jaunita Seto (Cox). He traveled via Pan Am Clipper when he was 3 and his family settled in Southern California.

Oliver married his high school sweetheart, Donna, and nearly made it to their 63rd wedding anniversary. They have two children, Cathie and Adam; five grandchildren, Katrina, Kyndra, Kirby, Lucas and Tess and two great grandchildren, Wesley and Nash.

Oliver was devoted to caring for his family and strived to do his best for them. He was always planning, analyzing and revising his plans. While his family was growing he worked full time, attended college and ultimately graduated from LaVerne Law School. He had fond memories of his time on California Highway Patrol, but eventually moved from law enforcement to legal counsel for the California Secretary of State.

Throughout his life he was passionate about cars, from street racing and cruising as a teenager to building a dune buggy to racing go-karts to being a devotee of F-1 racing. He could always be found in the garage. In retirement he was a member of the Twin City Idlers and Rod-tique car clubs. He loved driving and showing his 1962 Dart and 1968 Barracuda. For many years he travelled to Hot August Nights to meet up with his best friend since second grade because they still liked to play with cars. As we say goodbye to Oliver we hope he is cruisin' into the sunset with a smile.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Camano Center or Puget Sound Kidney Center (Arlington).
