December 14, 2022...In Memory of Ann Cain
Dr. Cain (Ms. Cain is what I affectionately called her, and she called me John-John) was a mentor to me. A brillant, kind, and humble soul.....and a masterful educator. Ms. Cain taught primarily by her life example, as well as academically. She was one of the greatest teachers I've ever known. She was just a good person. I will forever remember her for being a rock in my life.

A Miss Cain taught me at Rosewood Elementary School in 1969/1970. She was the best teacher I ever had, and that includes high school. If this is not the same Miss Cain, I can still tell that Dr. Ann Cain was a great person. If anyone knows if Dr. Ann Cain taught at Rosewood Elementary then, I would appreciate it.

To the Cain Family, May you find comfort in knowing that others care. Dr.Cain was truly an inspiration to me. When I met her at Winthrop years ago as a student, I thought this lady was intelligent, wise, smart, and nice. I wanted to be like her and often would tell her that when I grow up I want to be like you, Dr.Cain. The word Legacy is defined as a gift one leaves someone. Well for those who knew Dr. Ann Caine, she left us her legacy because she was truly a gift from God that I will always cherish. God Bless and strengthen each of you during this time. Love in Christ, Ms. Juanita Foster and family

God bless you Whitney, I don't know you or your Mother, I did however have the honor of being a student and bus driver at Fort Mill High School when your Dad was the Asst. Principal, I have very fond memories of your Dad and it sounds like your Mom was a public education hero also. May God be with you and your family.
