Chester, South Carolina - Ann Elizabeth Wages Wright, 87, died Friday December 10, 2021 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday December 12, 2021 at Barron Funeral Chapel with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. The family will receive friends also Sunday at Barron Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wright was born in Chester County, SC on December 23, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Charles Eugene Wages and Mary Johnson Wages. She was a Class of 1952 graduate of Lewisville High School and was retired from Sequa Chemical as a sales coordinator. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Chester. Ann enjoyed her family and especially being with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, F.O. Wright; her daughter, Terry Roberts, her sister, Grace Lindsay and brothers, Henry, Shorty and Kenneth Wages. She is survived by one daughter, Rie Nunnery (Eddie) of Chester, SC, Step-son Neal Wright (Linda) of Garden City Beach, SC, step daughter Lee Alexander (Jim) of Clover, SC, brother Richard Wages (Kay) of Leslie, SC and numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.
The family would like to extend a "heartfelt thank you" to Ann's caregivers: Nancy Ford, Mildred Gaston and Pearline McClurkin and also to Agape Hospice, Rock Hill.
