ROCK HILL - Mr. Theodore "Ted" Lee, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. David Kemp, officiating and Revs. Larry Nivens and Debbie Dyches, assisting. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Lee was born in Hamlet, N.C., the son of the late Jesse F. Lee and the late Mary Archie Wright Lee. He was a retiree of the Celanese Corporation with 32 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II, a member of the Frank Roach American Legion Post 34. He was a former member of Garden Sanctuary and attended Fort Mill Church of God. He was a avid fisherman his whole life. He loved people and always found a way to work in a scripture in any conversation, loved music, especially gospel music. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ralph, Rob and Jay.
Surviving is his wife, Ethel Childers Lee, to whom he was married for 62 faithful years; three sons, Mike Lee (Cheryl), Tim Lee and David Lee; grandchildren, Amber Eddington, Rachel Lee Adams (Robert), Justin M. Lee, Spencer Lee, Mattie Lee and Lidia Lee; great-grandchildren, Vanyel Adams, Gwendalyn Adams and Wyatt Carter and many nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to doctors, nurses and staff of Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House for the loving care during his illness.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
