Willie Caldwell Obituary
Willie Frank Caldwell Sr., 57, of Benton Harbor departed this life on June 6, 2023, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
The homegoing celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, at New Bethel Baptist Church, 2360 Townline Road, Benton Harbor. Burial will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday at the church. Family and friends wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at www.robbinsbrothersfh.com.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1965, in Batesville, Miss., to the union of the late Albert and Minnie Lee Caldwell.
He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1984.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories in the heart of his loving wife, Wanda Caldwell; his children: Willie Caldwell Jr., William (La'Keisah) Caldwell, and Keoma (Erik) Mathis; his grandchildren: John, JaKayla, Jaida, Laia, Damon, Willie, Dontrell, Delaymea, De'asia and De'Antwan; four great-grandchildren; his siblings: Janie Chapman, Josephine (Lorenzo) Caldwell, Jimmie (Mary) Caldwell, Albert Caldwell Jr., Robert (Sonya) Caldwell, Rena (FC) Paris, Marla Blue, Rodney (Linda) Johnson, Vertilla Caldwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Minnie Lee Caldwell Sr.; mother and father-in-law: Leroy and Rosie Johnson; siblings: Dorothy Caldwell, Frank Caldwell, James Caldwell, Mary Thomas, Catherine Caldwell and Bobby Jo; sister-in-law, Nina Blue, and brother-in-law, Michael Johnson.
