Don Staley Obituary

Staley, Don
Oct. 6, 1961 - Jan. 24, 2015
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Donald 'Don' Blair Staley, 53, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida passed away on January 24, 2015. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Staley, daughters Sarah (John) Dahlsten and Shannon Ford, father Blair Staley, siblings Lynne (Glenn) Alper and Todd (Diane) Staley, grandchildren Vera and Oscar Dahlsten, many nieces and nephews that were all very special to him. Don was preceded in death by his mother Ann Staley. Don also leaves behind his two loyal and loving Labrador Retrievers Maui and Kula who gave him tremendous joy and happiness. He will be remembered by the many who loved him, for his extremely curious and analytical mind. Don was an avid golfer, enjoyed sports, listening to music, travelling and being with friends and family. His great sense of humor, his bigger than life personality and caring and kind nature will truly be missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held February 7th at 1PM at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. Donations can be made in his honor to the Humane Society at LWR

Wow Don!! Now it's ten years since you left your family and friends for your angel's wings. It is hard to believe you have been gone that long but you are still in our thoughts.
We just lost a member of our golf group so you'll have another companion in the Memorial Garden here at LWRG&CC.
Please continue to watch over your family and friends. We miss you.

"Deuce", I just visited you last week in the stone garden here at LWRG&CC. I'm not sure what made me stop. I had no idea that it was seven years ago today that you went to your special piece of heaven reserved for real characters. We miss you Don and hope your watching over your family and friends. Rest In Peace My Friend

Dear Sweet Bonnie: We wish we could be there to give you a hug and comfort you. We know how close the two of you have been. If ever there is anything either of us can do for you, night or day, PLEASE don't hesitate to call us...we will make a way. We Love You! And Dear Shannon: Although we have not had many chances to get to know you, we know this must be hard on you too...we are keeping you BOTH in our prayers.
