Dorothy Ruttan Obituary
Nov. 20, 1925 - June 21, 2010
Dorothy Faye Ruttan, 84, of Venice, formerly of Akron, Ohio, died June 21, 2010.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Farley Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Venice Baptist Church, with cremation and inurnment in the church memorial garden to follow.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky K. McKinney of Venice; a son, Dr. Richard C. Bibbee of Rochester, Mich.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ruttan was a longtime member of South Venice Baptist Church. Her family requests memorial contributions be made to South Venice Baptist Church, 3167 Old Englewood Road, Venice, FL 34293.

Ms Dorothy was a shinning star is a rainy day. It's comforting to know she with Lord Jesus Christ now but she will be missed greatly by anyone and everyone who she came in contact with. The star that was so bright isn't out it's just changed forms. I love you Ms Dorothy and I missed you before you passed and more now that I know I won't see you again anytime soon. I was deeply saddened by Dorothy's passing. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
