Denise Stinson Obituary
Denise "Neesie" Louvonnia Stinson, 55, transitioned Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at Duke University Hospital in Durham.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m., at Clinton Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church in Hickory, with burial to follow in Coulters Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Ebony & White's Funeral Service is serving the Stinson family.

I first met Neesie when I was 5 years old in kindergarten at Rhoney's school. She was in first grade but she acted like she was a mature woman even at 6. I missed my mother something awful and cried almost every day... until I met Neesie. I remember her prancing up to me with all the confidence in the world and saying, "Why are you crying?" Through snubs, I told her that I missed my momma. She matter-of-factly asked, "Well, have you seen everything at our school, yet?" I shook my head no. She extended her hand and said, "Let's go see!" And, there we went! Just me and Neesie. She took me on a grand tour, introduced me to all of the teachers and her friends and explained all of the fun things I would be doing in school. Needless to say, I stopped crying almost immediately after I met Neesie.
She made such a difference in my life at the ripe old age of 6! Later on, I got to meet her parents and her brother. They are just as beautiful as she was, inside and out! Thank you, God, for making such a wonderful person and precious soul in Neesie! All my love to the Stinson's! May God bless and keep you; may His face shine upon you; and hold you in the palm of His hand.

My condolences to the Stinson family for the loss of this wonderful and beautiful lady. She had the most precious spirit and beautiful smile of anyone I've ever met. She was a former classmate and dear friend. She will be sorely missed by anyone who had the opportunity to meet her or to be in her presence. May God continue to bless you, keep you and strengthen your family in the times ahead. Gone but truly never forgotten. Rest sweet angel in the arms of your loving Savior.
