Patricia Cline Obituary
October 2, 1947 - July 20, 2022
Patricia "Patsy" Kirby Cline, 74, of Hickory, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Burke County, to the late Roby Calvin Kirby and Edith Fowler Kirby.
Patsy was a member of Highland United Methodist Church in Hickory and enjoyed singing in the choir, playing handbells, and participating in the women's church groups.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Pete Kirby, Ernest Kirby, Gene Kirby, and Floyd Kirby; and sisters, Daisy King, Shirley Harris, and Margaret Shell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, William Perry Cline Sr. of the home; son, William Perry Cline II and wife, Pamela, of Newton; daughter, Donna Cline of Hickory; brother, David Shell of Hudson; sister, Anna Biddix of Wilkesboro; granddaughter, Leslie Cline Worley and husband, Cameron, of Lenoir; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Patsy's life will be held Sunday, July 24, at 3 p.m. at Highland United Methodist Church in Hickory. The Rev. Roy Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Highland United Methodist Church, prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland United Methodist Church, 1020 12th St. Pl. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
