Sherry Mooney Obituary
November 1, 1956 - April 19, 2023
Sherry Bradshaw Mooney, also known as "Bird", passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 66 in her hometown of Hickory, N.C. She was born on November 1, 1956, in Hickory and was the daughter of Everette Lewis and Joan Baker Bradshaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger, and niece Sara Bradshaw.
Sherry attended St. Stephens High School and began her career at McDonald's, where she worked for 39 years. Sherry was known for her friendly nature and never knew a stranger. She was beloved by family and friends alike.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Rick Mooney, and her siblings, Mike(Penni), Dennis(Tammy), Jeff(Tina) Bradshaw and Kathy Aristy. She is also survived by four nephews, Christopher, Jeffery, John, Joshua, and four nieces, Latosha, Ashley, Jillian, Jessica and her beloved dog Sox the Beagle.
Sherry was a member of Day3 Church in Granite Falls. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Caldwell County Humane Society.
Rest in peace, Sherry Bradshaw Mooney. You will be missed.

Oh my goodness, my sweet, funny, wonderful dear friend. Bird and I were neighbors in Pinebrook Park and she and I were roommates. I have so many wonderful memories of our good times. Fly high, Bird!
