I'm so very sorry to read of Bill's passing. He was a friend of my brother who also attended OAC. I enjoyed dancing with Bill at many OAC proms and always enjoyed talking with him. He was a very polite, kind and interesting man. I remember watching him compete in Special Olympics,he was competitive yet supportive of other athletes. Deepest sympathy to all of Bill's family. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. We were blessed to know such a fine man.

I was sorry to hear of Bills passing. I met him in the 1970s at a recreational program and remember his sweet smile and infectious laugh. He had a little crush on my cousin back in those days. And forty years later would still ask me how she was doing! He was truly special. My sympathies to his family as I am sure they will miss him dearly!

Dear family of Bill,
I didn't know Bill well, but I have known his smiling face at Hope Basketball games for over 30 years. He has been around Hope since I was a student here in the late 80's, always with a warm greeting and a smile. His positive attitude was a blessing to many. Rest in Peace, Bill!

My deepest condolences to the Webb family.
I was lucky to have Billy as a friend, and have known him from our early days when my family lived on 12th Street and the Webb's lived on 13th. I will always remember when Billy would win one of his many medals. He couldn't wait to show Larry and I, and tell us all about his accomplishments! In recent years, Billy would stop by our business to laugh about the old days and share a pop. I would drop him off at Kollen Park just in time for Friday night Summer concerts. I will miss his smile, laughter and outlook on life. Rest in peace Billy - God got a good man!

Billy was among the first students I had as a teacher at OAC, many years ago. He was a young teenager at the time. He was in my classes for many years. He knew everyone in the building and always loved to chat with other staff, as well. He was kind, helpful, remembered things well, and I could always count on him. He loved playing basketball, being in the Special Olympics, was chosen to work in the school lunchroom, and was given extra responsibilities to help prepare him for the work world. Even when I moved on to teaching other types of classrooms, he often popped his head in my class to say "hi, how are you?" I lost track of him after he worked at Holiday Inn.
He was proud of his family and often mentioned his mom and his brothers. All of us at OAC were proud of Billy and all he accomplished. He is one of my most memorable students and I'm so glad I knew him.

Emily and I are heartbroken to hear of Bill's sudden passing. One year ago, Bill greeted Emily so warmly and caring when she started bowling and continued welcoming us each week! He watched over Emily always cheering her on! Bill cared so much for everybody! I will miss his enthusiasm each time he shared how his bowling was going on Friday nights and we laughed and called him 9's Bill now go get that strike!!! He will be in our hearts always as God's welcoming angel to everyone he met! Enjoy heaven Bill until we meet again!

I will never forget Billy's giggle. Whenever I talked to him on the phone, or talked in person, I'd always say to him"Oh no, not you Bill." He would laugh and tell me back "Oh no, not you Bill." We laughed alot together. I remember when he'd come to Bingo with his mom. We always sat together. He was always a happy guy and was always talking about his Hope College girl friends.

We are so sorry to hear about Bill's unexpected passing. We are in Florida so will miss going to the services. We will miss seeing Bill at The Shoe on Friday mornings, Hope basketball games and at SEM on Thursday nights. Bill was always a bright spot in your day when you would run into him. He was a happy guy and it was obvious that he had Christ in his heart.
Our sympathy to the family for your loss. You will be in our prayers.
Sincerely, Scott and Jan Veurink

I met Bill Webb in 1988 through my Hope College placement at Special Education Ministries (Third Reformed Church). Oh so grateful we continued to cross paths over 30 years at Hope College events, Friday night bowling, Wooden Shoe restaurant, etc. Bill brought so much light and love to this world. He truly had a beautiful, caring heart always asking about you and your family. I thank Jesus for Bill and am grateful he is in his heavenly home with Him.
