Dr. Andrew Bogdan

DR. ANDREW BOGDAN, D.O. drew his final breath on February 11, 2008. Born the son of Vasil and Barbara Babaj Bogdan on November 11, 1916, he died the loyal husband of Marjorie Bogdan and devoted father of Robert Bogdan, both of whom he leaves behind. Wanting to be a physician from the time he was a child, for he witnessed the miracles in the doctor's black bag, he, with determination and the support of his siblings, achieved his goal, opening a practice in Houston in the early `60's. Though he retired from practice over a decade ago he maintained his medical license until the age of 91. Aside from family, his greatest passion was the pursuit of knowledge, a passion he fed until the final weeks of his life. In addition to his wife and son, Andrew is survived by two good men, his brothers, Paul and Alex. Also surviving him are his enumerable nieces and nephews. In death, he joins not only his parents but his sisters and brothers: Mrs. Anna Skody: Mrs. Mary Hardy; Mrs. Julia Fannelli; George Bogdan; Nick Bogdan; Michael Bogdan; John Bogdan; and Robert Bogdan. Andrew sends his thanks to doctors, technicians, nurses, and staff who fought for him, giving him the needed gift of time. Private Services will be held at the Houston National Cemetery.
