On February 18, 2022, Bettye C. Hall passed at her home surrounded by the love of her caregivers.
Bettye was born September 15, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Gladys (Rudolph) Curson and F. Owen Curson. She was much loved by her parents. After graduating from High School, Bettye attended the Rice Institute and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then went into teaching in the Houston Independent School District where she met her husband. She taught at many Houston area high schools and was greatly loved by all her students. After her retirement, she authored a math book that was used by Houston ISD and many other school districts for several years. Bettye attended Grace Episcopal Church making many friends.
Bettye is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and F. Owen Curson, and her ex-husband, Tommy G. Hall. She is survived by her cousins, Carolynn Unruh and husband Ben, and Marcia Maddox and husband, Doug.
We wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks to the staff of Loving Arms, including Tamara Wellington, Sophia Clark, Shantell Henderson, Ayanna Williams, Annette Shelvin, Geneiva Marcus, Roslyn Henderson and Carla Williams. Bettye lovingly called them "Her Angels". Also, thanks to Comfort Hospice who provided care during her final days. Also to Lone Star Living where she resided and made many friends.
Abiding by her wishes, she will be cremated by Integrity Funeral Care, 3915 Dacoma St., Suite E, Houston, TX. The remains will be interred in a private service in the columbarium at Grace Episcopal Church, 4040 W. Bellfort Ave., Houston, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
