CHARLES SULLIVAN Obituary

CHARLES SULLIVAN, of Pasadena, TX, has gone to be with the Lord. Charles was born on August 14, 1932 in Nacogdoches, TX . Charles lost his battle with cancer on May 19, 2010 at the age of 77. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, and is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Nelda Turnipseed Sullivan. Charles is also survived by children, Johnnie and wife Mary, Charlotte Dickerman and husband Ken and David and wife Cindy. Left to mourn his passing will be grandchildren, Matt Sullivan and wife Natalie, Liz Sullivan Walker and husband Kevin, Megan Beard and husband Brock, Chad Sullivan and wife Jennifer, Eric Sullivan, Kimberly and Kelly Dickerman; and four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and legions of friends.Charles was a 35 year retiree from Ethyl/Albemarle Corporation.Visitation will be Thursday Evening, May 20, 2010 from 6-8 at Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Blvd. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday May 21, 2010 at 2 PM also in the Chapel of Rosewood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made in Charles' memory to the Pasadena Education Foundation at 1515 Cherrybrook Lane Pasadena, Texas 77502 or to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK. 73123.Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.rosewood.cc

I rememberance of a very special guy. Charles was always there to great me at our family gatherings with a smile, a hug and a story. I will miss hearing those stories and tasting his delectable homemade pound cake that he graceously made for all of us to enjoy. God Bless You. You will be sorely missed.

You were my dad for 30 years. It was my honor and privilege to be with you in the wee hours of the morning of May 19th as you passed into the loving arms of the lord. I will forever be greatful for all you did for me. I will miss you deeply.
