He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bichler in 1996. David was born in Deadwood on February 5, 1959. He graduated from Lead High School in 1977, attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1981. David had worked in the oil industry for 26 years and was currently employed with Siemens Water Technologies as a Project Manager. He was a man of great integrity who was respected by the many people he worked with during his lifetime. He leaves a huge void in the lives of all he touched and will be missed forever. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, 827 Main Street, Deadwood, SD at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, 501 E. St. Joseph Street, Rapid City, SD, 57701. Laura
I have thought about you many times in the last year or so. I shared the sad news of your husband's passing to the gals here at work who may not have seen it in the paper. You have my deepest sympathy. I had seen that you had sold your house here and thought you may have gone back to Texas but always wondered how you all were doing. We all had positive memories of you and feel badly that you had to suffer such a loss. Take care and if you are ever back in this area we would love to hear from you. God's blessings.

We will continue to keep you and your family is prayer as we have done throughout David's illness. We know you will find strength in the Lord and hope you will call for help as needed. Hugs and our love,
