David Fred Bichler

DAVID FRED BICHLER, 48, of Spring, Texas died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 after a two year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by his wife, Laura and two children; Aaron McWilliams (Kim) of Borger, TX, and Briana Bichler of East Peoria, IL; his mother, Sophia Bichler of Deadwood, SD; two sisters, Mary Bonrud (Larry) of Spearfish, SD and Linda Willis (Don) of Redding, CA; and two grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bichler in 1996. David was born in Deadwood on February 5, 1959. He graduated from Lead High School in 1977, attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1981. David had worked in the oil industry for 26 years and was currently employed with Siemens Water Technologies as a Project Manager. He was blessed to travel the world through his work, which he thoroughly enjoyed. David was a devote Christian who loved the Lord, his family and friends, and his work. He was a man of great integrity who was respected by the many people he worked with during his lifetime. He leaves a huge void in the lives of all he touched and will be missed forever. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, 827 Main Street, Deadwood, SD at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, 501 E. St. Joseph Street, Rapid City, SD, 57701.
