My dear Uncle David was a source of magic in our childhood. When we would visit, he would recite the stories of Winnie the Pooh and chat with us about our favorite storybook characters as well as characters from stories he made up for all the children like "Mr. Longears" the Rabbit and "Mr. Sillyface" the Turtle. He once sent my cousin and I a hand-drawn comic book to summer camp and I still have it, along with a few other special pieces of mail he sent me over the years. We both went to Trinity and both studied French and theatre. He is undoubtedly the kindest, most gracious man I've ever met. A gentle, brilliant soul. I am sad to say goodbye and I look forward to seeing him again one day in paradise!
