Edward and I grew up in the same neighborhood(3 houses from each other) and as kids we used to always play together. He was a very sweet and friendly person; and though we lost touch when everyone grew into adulthood; I think of him often, especially when I visit the home front and see family still living there.
My Soror and your son, I pray that you look to God for your strength, as "He is near to the brokenhearted" and He is able!
With heartfelt condolences,
Soror Serina Yvonne Mitchell

Burkley's greatest legacy will be his love and
dedication as a father and husband and too make a priority to see his son to be the man that he has grown into. He was so proud of his son.He loved his mother dearly and all his siblings and family. For all the rest of us we were blessed for him to have shared his generosity of his heart. There will forever only be one Burk. A loss for us
a gain for Heaven.
