Here it is December and yes I'm still thinking about and missing my friend, Ericka. I can't believe you're gone, but God does know best. I still hear that loud and deep laugh and see the beautiful smile that you have. You are deeply missed now and forever.
To Ed and the kids, you're always in my prayers. Ericka had to always be in front of everyone else to cheer you all on. If we didn't see her, we always heard her. She's still your number one fan. She's just in a higher position to cheer you on. Love You All.

To Ed, Exaveir, Denerick, And Vanessa...I was deeply saddened to learn of Ericka's passing. Of course, my fondest memories of her were on the field where the whole family seemed to be at home. She was so vibrant and always the life of the party! She was like a second mom to alot of those kids and was always eager to help. My own children loved her dearly. She will forever be loved and missed.

Ed, i am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ericka. Well, I met Ericka about 5 or 6 years ago, when we were with the Buccaneers. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. I just recently found out about her passing. I am really at a lost of words. It seems as though it was just last year that I was at the wedding, and taking pictures at the Seahawks Super Bowl Game. We have lost touch over the years, and I recently saw her at Foodtown. And of course she greeted me with the forever everlasting smile. She will truly be missed. I pray that you look to the hills for which cometh your strength. God will never leave you or forsaken you. God doesn't make any mistakes with anything that he does. He is just giving the rest of us time to get it together. I believe that my heavenly sister is looking down on all of us. So, Ed, Nessa, X, and Dee keep your head up, and your hand in God's everlasting hand. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless and keep all of you.

To my family (Ed, my nephews, my neice, the Yarbroughs, the Pennies and the Adams) we have to all look to the hills from which comes our help and remember that God's grace is sufficent. Ericka was my big sister, the one I loved and the one I looked up to. Our hearts may be heavy but there is no pain that "my" God cannot heal. I find my comfort in knowing that if we live life according to God's word it is not "good-bye" but fairwell. To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord. The one thing that can never be erased is memories that we can all cherish and she will never be forgotten.

ED, My goush we go back so far it seens so unreal to here such shocking news, You and Erika have been our baseball friends, neighbors, party buddies, and support for our children. I met the two when I sign my son Cobrey, who is now 16 yrs old, up on Ed's 6 yr old baseball team. Erika was there to meet me on the field with a smile, and she never stopped. We became very good friends, we even lived around the corner from each other for a while in Laurel Oaks. Rob, I and the kids loved her, and she will be truly missed. Ed, you and Erika supported us with our children and we will be there for you to support yours. God Knows your Heart, He will see you through.

We only got to know her for a little while but, it seems that her and her family fit right in with ours. We will really miss you Ericka. I met Ericka initially at aunt Lois's funeral, we met and that was that; as a matter of fact I was surprised someone had delivered you from the clubs and chasing women....lol (smile)
On a more serious note.
I again met Ericka and her children at the family reunion a few years back. This was the time it was a privilage and pleasure to get to know her as a person. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We sat and held conversations like we were family, which I feel that she truly was. I pray for you and the children, Ericka is OK!

I never thought 4 months after Erika spoke at my husbands homegoing, I would be signing her guestbook. But God Knows best.Oh what memories we all will cherish. I remember when I first met you and Ed,5yrs ago at your home for Mama C.'s birthday party. I was invited there by my sister(Shun)who was your co-worker.I was very sceptical about coming since I didn't know you all,but she said"Girl they're just like us,you gone have fun!" So when we got there you introduced us to everybody and they all welcomed us and treated us like family.I had so much fun that night,it was really like being with my own family!And I guess I was of so much family to you too,ya'll gave me the name "Margarita" before I left and I've been going by it ever since.After that night I've always wanted to be around ya'll during any celebration and would tell everybody about ya'll family!I brought my husband and my cousin to your Super Bowl Party-'07,and just like the first time for me,they didn't want to come neither.But once they met the family,they didn't want to leave!When we left he said "I really like those kinda people,and you can tell that those 2 are really in love,a lot of people wish to have a marriage like that!" I want Ed & The children to know that my family weren't just always there to share the happy times with you,we are here for everything "We Are Family!" And Please if there is anything that you may need,a talk,or anything,we are just 1 phone call away! Ericka, I remember you and your sister when we lived next door to you all up until I was 10. We would always come to each others homes to play. I was young and would always come with Portia to you all home. I came to your apartment when I was in high school with my friend Shay and spend the nights. You will be missed.
