GERTRUDE LUCILLE (nee WATSON) LaFITTE, passed away March 27, 2002. She was born in Coulterville, Ill. February 23, 1926. She leaves her greatest treasure in life to mourn her passing...her family. B.P. "Pat" her loving and devoted husband of 53 years; daughters, Nan and husband John Canter, Mickey and husband Ronnie Bowles, Patty and husband Bud Doss; son Darrell and wife Susan; grandchildren Trey and wife Megan, Travis and wife Jody, Shelley, Courtney, Ashley, Miranda, Joseph, Cory, Jeremy, Brande, Alfie, and June; 8 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Juanita Hunley, James Watson, Mary Ellen Averett, Barbara Edmonson, William Watson, David Watson and Cheryl Sparger. She was predeceased by siblings Shirley Brumley and Ralph Watson. There will be a viewing for family and friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 1101 Antoine Drive (713-682-3663) from 1:00p.m.-5:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2002. Services are 2:00p.m. Saturday March 30, 2002, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
