Uncle James
It has been a year already, and it really don't seem like it. I miss you very much and you will forever be in my heart. I try not to think about this day of last year. I was there with you when god called you home. I can still picture it today, they day you left us was such a beautiful day. Everything was quiet and perfect, but when 6:00p.m. rolled around that is when God was calling you home. I had a lot of mixed emotions running through me. I know you was being called home and I was glad to see that. For I know you wasn't going to suffer anymore. But I was also sadden because you was leaving us. We were not going to see you anymore. When you looked up at that light and that one tear drop fell that really hurted me. All I could say was Uncle James. I know you are in a better place now. I love you and will always love my UNCLE TURK.

Your Niece,
Nante

Hello Unc,
Today marks your year anniversary that our gracious father called you home to peace and rest. As I think back a year ago today you were suffering and in pain now you are rejoicing and living a wonderful life. Continue to look down on us. Love you.

Uncle Turk,

Fathers Day just passed and you wasn't here with us. I remembered last year Fathers Day you was calling around for everyone to put something in a hat for you. I missed your phone calls asking me for $20.00. It's the little things I miss that you used to do. Call us and tell us you are sleeping under the freeway and eating beans out of the can. I sit back and go back down memory lane and just laugh at the things you used to do and say. You are truly missed Uncle James.

Love You Always,
Angel

This entry is more for my Dads Family than him but thought he would like to know what I told them.
We enjoyed a joyous day of celebrating. We went outside and sucked up some sun. I started to call everybody to get some change from them but it was all good. I would like to thank everybody who didnt forget my dads birthday and say there is still some love there and time heals all wounds.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To my dearest Uncle:
There are not enough words to describe the emptiness that our family is feeling. You were the life of the party, you were the joy and light of this family and we will miss you dearly. Weeping may endure at night but joy will come in the morning. Rest now, free from all pain and suffering. You are with our heavenly Father shining so bright. We will join you one day, until then rest peacefully.
With much love,
Your niece,
Mechelle BRent
