Robert Inglish Obituary

Robert Bailey Inglish
1930-2016
Robert Bailey Inglish, better known as "Crazy Bob", 85, of Bellville, Texas, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Saturday, November 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather & friend to many.
"Crazy" Bob was born to Tom & Bertha Inglish on November 18, 1930 in Borger, Texas. The family moved to Cotulla, Texas where he attended & graduated from Cotulla High School, Class of 1949. While there, he lettered in football, basketball, & choir. He then attended Shriner Institute on a football scholarship in Kerrville, Texas and after attended Texas State University from 1949-1952. From there he ventured to Kansas City, Missouri to work for The Kansas City Stockyards. While working for the stockyards he was sent to purchase cattle in Warsaw, Missouri where he met the LOVE OF HIS LIFE - Mary Ann ("the Lil General"). In October of 1952 he was drafted into the United States Army. He did his basic training at Ft. Bliss & then was sent to Korea, where he served proudly as an Army Artilleryman. He returned home in April of 1954 & married Mary Ann on July the 4th.
"Crazy" Bob began his career in 1954 at the Wilson, Flynn, & Laws Commission Company in Kansas City, Missouri. Bob's brother-in-law, Harry Thompson, hired him to come back to Texas & work at The John Clay Commission Company in San Antonio, Texas. In 1962 he later moved to Houston, Texas to be the first general manager of the North Houston Livestock Auction. In 1966 he opened up his own livestock commission company, Inglish & Hayes Cattle Company, located on Rankin Road in Houston, Texas. Little did he know that in 1973 he began the best gamble ever, now known as Postive Feed. Later in 1977, Bob and his family moved out of the city to enlarge the plant in Sealy, Texas.
He LOVED what he did & always said "YOU'LL NEVER WORK A DAY OF YOUR LIFE - IF YOU LOVE WHAT YOU DO". He made his mark in the cattle industry & touched many lives throughout his lifetime. Reading was his favorite hobby - he sought to never stop learning. More than anything, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, grand kids & great granddaughters.
"Crazy" Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Ann, his children Mike Inglish & wife Sheila of Senatobia, MS, his daughter Rhonda Cobb & husband Andy of Houston, & son Gary Inglish & wife Michele of Bellville. Grand children to include; Candice Garner & husband David, Trent Bailey Cobb & wife Dara, Katlin Davis & husband Brach, Kegan Bailey Inglish & wife Ellen, Taylor Inglish & Austin Bailey Inglish. I remember the day I met Mr Bob about 30 yrs ago when I worked at a local lil bbq joint here in Sealy. I wasn't sure how to take him at first because he sure gave me heck! After he came in a few times I learned to dish it right back to him and boy did he get a kick out of that! Over the years I grew to admire this man so much! I will certainly miss running into him around town givin me heck as he did the day I met him. It was an honor Crazy Bob!

I will truly miss Mr Bob, a true Texas Character. Never was there a day that I regretted getting a chance to see and have a short visit with Mr Bob on one of my visits to Sealy; you never truly knew what you would get, but it would be fun and memorable.

My thoughts and prayers are with Gary and the Inglish Family, as well as the entire Postive Feed Family.

God Bless Mr Bob.
