1943-2017
Robert "Bobby" Trojanowski died Tuesday, April 11th at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Kathryn, as well as their children: Dixie Russo and husband, Louis; Douglas Trojanowski, Virginia Doonan, Alexandra Trojanowski, and Philip Trojanowski and his wife, Teresa. Also remaining are his grandchildren: Anthony Russo and wife Andrea; Madilynn Russo; Andrew and Steven Trojanowski; and Colleen and Peter Doonan; along with one great-grandchild, Louis Russo; and his remaining sister, Ethel Harris.
A native Houstonian, Robert began his life on a farm within a mile of present-day Hobby Airport and remained a lifelong resident of the city. His family attended St Christopher parish, and he was a graduate of Mt Carmel High School. Robert "Trojo" was a draftsman and owner of Industrial Drafting of Houston. In his leisure time, he enjoyed family-oriented pursuits such as coaching and other volunteer opportunities in his neighborhood. Robert also had a strong sense of civic responsibility and was a member of the Democratic Party under which he served as an Executive Committeemen and Precinct Judge for twenty-five years.
There will be a Rosary, followed by a Memorial Service in his honor at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at St Christopher Catholic Church, 8150 Park Place Blvd, Houston TX 77017.

Dear Kitty & family,
My heartfelt condolences to you and the family. I am truly saddened and shocked to hear the news. Robert was such a great mentor and community activist. I will always cherish his friendship and counsel through the years. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this difficult time.

I wanted to send my heart felt condolences to you with this surprising news. Robert was a dear friend, a brother, a political mentor to me, and someone I admired deeply. My heart feels broken with this news...I can't imagine how you feel.

Kitty and family, I am so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. I always enjoyed his feisty personality and his willingness to go to the mat for an issue he believed in (think of Robert and Fred threatening to chain themselves to the sign of Park Place Elementary). He was one of a kind, and the entire community will miss him. I know he and Fred are stirring up trouble (in a good way) as we speak.
