Sandra Burgmeier Lauhoff of Houston passed away May 14, 2023. Sandra was born June 15, 1940, in Houston, Texas to George and Cleo Burgmeier. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Tony, and grandson Lucas. She is survived by her Children, Chris and his wife Kathie, George and his wife Anita, Cathy Null and her husband David, Andy and his wife Teresa, Jenny Bennett and her husband Spencer, 17 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and her brother Jim.
Sandra grew up in Houston and graduated from St. Agnes Academy. She was an active member and leader at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the community. Sandra was a member of the church choir, taught CCE to children, and served on various church committees. She was a member of the Junior League and also The Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She loved gardening, reading, cooking for friends and family and enjoyed playing Bridge. Sandra loved her faith and her family. She was strong, devout, creative, radiant, encouraging, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.
A visitation, beginning at 6:00 PM and Rosary Service at 7:00 PM will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Dettling Funeral Home-14094 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77079. Mass of Christian Burial will be the following morning at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 25th, 2023, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church-625 Nottingham Oaks Trail Houston, TX 77079 with reception to follow in the St. John Vianney St. Jude Hall. Burial will take place following reception at 2pm at the Houston National Cemetery-10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038.
