To the family,
Solomon was a good friend in my childhood from Thomson, Georgia. He was always very intelligent, bright and friendly. I am so remorseful at his passing; however, God's will is not always to our understanding. The Pinkston family sends prayers to Marion, Jackie and Ms. Myrtis. May the Lord bless and keep you always.
Sincerely,
Pete Pinkston

Yesterday afternoon I was sent into a mild state of shock - Agnes came up to me at the end of my workshop and asked if I had heard about our good friend . . . I knew right away that she was talking about Solomon, and I got excited because I thought she was going to tell me that he had gotten a job while I was off sick; instead her news brought tears to my eyes. I did not know Solomon for a long time, but in the time that I did know him he definitely grabbed a special place in my heart. He was a kind man that loved the Lord and always lent a helping hand. I will sorely miss his warm smile and gentle presence. Please accept my sincere condolences even though they are extremely late! I pray that God will bless your family with healing and peace.

Family, I didn't know Solomon very well and rarely talked with him as we passed each other near his office building. However, every time we did see each other at a distance he would always smile and wave as if we were long time friends. I admired him for his representation of a confident and intelligent Brother in an environment where we are under-valued. I count those few encounters we had as priceless. He inspired me to want other Brothers look up to me, like I looked up to Solomon. May God grant you peace during your grief and joy in your memories.

To the Hardwick Family,
My prayers go out to you and his family in Altanta. I met Solomon when I took my first job out of college at LTV Aerospace, in Arlington, Texas and after 4 years he took a job to work on the space station and brought me back home to work on the project as well. He always called me "baby girl" where me and our other colleagues ate lunch, worked out and talked about the future everyday for 5 years till our careers took us in separate direction. I hear your encouraging words to "not to worry cause you're in a better place" as my heart is so sadden but my faith in God makes me rejoice because I know you're up there in heaven smiling.

To the Hardwick Family;
Solomon was a great person whom I was blessed to have met and have shared many moments with at the Aerospace Transition Center (ATC). It was my privilege to have encountered such a wonderful individual, who always had a positive attitude, high spirit, a great smile, and always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone no matter how difficult the day had been. I (we) will truly miss him here at the ATC and may God comfort his family and provide them with the peace and serenity that is needed to overcome this uneasy occasion. Solomon, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You will be missed but not forgotten……

To the Hardwick Family,
Solomon was a co-worker of mind at NASA whom he worked with until recently. We shared many moments together and I will alway remember his easy gate, love of life, and his 'wide grin'. He made many friends here at NASA and we all will miss him. We share in your lost and words cannot explain the lost I feel at this time. May God keep you in his loving arms and may you find strength in His word during this time of bereavement.
