Timothy Winter
1964-2017
Timothy Winter, Tim, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Tim was born on February 9, 1964 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Houston in The Rivercrest area and graduated from Lee High School. Tim attended Texas State University in San Marcos.
Tim met his wife, Mary Beth Swallen, in 1992 . They married on October 11, 1997. They have two children, Emily and Timothy.
Tim grew up in a large family and is the youngest of four brothers. He loved golfing, fishing, playing tennis, being on the water at their family home in Rockport, and enjoyed holiday festivities with his family at their ranch in Brenham. Tim was an amazing carpenter and contractor and was a renovations specialist.
Tim's greatest accomplishments were his children. He was so proud of his daughter Emily, an accomplished gymnast, and now a freshman at Oklahoma University, and was excited to see her pledge Delta Delta Delta just a few weeks ago. He did his best to attend all his son's baseball and football games, and hated missing when Timothy's team won The World Series Game in Dallas in his final days. Tim loved and cherished all of his friends that he met over his lifetime. Especially his dear friends.
Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Winter, their children Emily and Timothy Winter, his parents, Ramah and Allen Winter, his brothers Craig Winter,Scott, and his wife Cari Winter, and Andy, and his wife Corina Winter, and several nieces and nephews.
A family graveside service will be held in Independence , Texas. A celebration of life will be held for friends and family to attend at Christ The King Presbyterian Church at 1201 Silber Road Houston, Tx 77055 on Thursday, August 24th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite charity.

I am shocked, and saddened to hear of Tim's passing. My deepest condolences to his family. I worked with him, a few years back, and respected his work ethic, and knowledge. He was a kind man, and spoke often of his family, who he obviously loved very much. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Tim will be fondly remembered by me. He visited me at Styles Jewelers in the 1980's when he was in High School, and bought a Rolex, and honored our payment plan...... most honorable and noteworthy for a school going teenager. Tim also did remodeling work for us. In my experience, he could always be counted on to deliver on his commitments.

To the Winter family. I am saddened to hear about Tim's passing. Our condolences to to Mary Beth, and the children. I was following hurricane Harvey news and knew the family had a home in Rockport and unfortunately came across Tim's obituary. Tim's brother Craig and the Winter family opened their home to me as a home away from home when I was a foreign student in Denver. God has a home like the Winter home on the other side to welcome Tim. Our thoughts and prayers

Dear Winter Family,

I am so crushed to just learn that Timmy died. I am so sorry I didn't know a little earlier, I would have loved to have seen you today, MaryBeth, Andy, Scott, Emily , Timmy's parents, and all the family members. I am so sorry that you lost Timmy so early. I remember what a handsome,happy, sweet, man he was. I can only picture him with a huge smile. I know how you will miss him so.
