Vera Southall Obituary

Vera K. Southall
1929-2015
Vera Katherine Southall, 85, of Spring, TX, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2015. Born in Staten Island, NY, the third child to Harold and Josephine Griffin. Vera lived the majority of her life in New York, where she raised her beloved children surrounded by family while working at Wagner College. She moved with her husband of 42 years, Tom Southall, to Spring, TX, in 1974. While in Spring she became actively involved in tennis, the Republican Women's Club, Exxon Annuitant Club, and one of her personal favorites, the women's stitchery group. She captivated many with her laugh and joy for life. She never met a stranger and loved her family tremendously. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, parents, and sister. Her memory lives on through her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Margaret Griffin, son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Carol Famulari, daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and Peter Erickson, stepson and daughter-in-law, Tom and Janet Southall, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and countless friends. A celebration of Vera's life will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 1 p.m. at The Conservatory, 8215 Cypresswood Dr.; Spring, TX 77379.

So sad. She was my cousin and I will miss her greatly. Was hoping to reunite with her. She was so dear to me when I was a child. Cousin Gloria
