Eric Melchor Obituary
Eric Luis Melchor was born in Nampa, ID on August 6, 1985 to Jesus Linares Melchor and Janelle Kay Marsh Melchor.
Eric lived most of his young life with our family in the Duck Valley Indian Reservation, where he was enrolled into Indian Nations. In his younger teenage life he came to live with our Mexican side of the family and lived a happy life.
He is being survived by his father, Mr. Jesus Linares Melchor, step-mother, Mrs. Narcisa Santoyo, brothers, Joey (Claudia Perez) Melchor, Alex Melchor, Leonel (Nancy Rogel) Melchor, Jesus Jr. Melchor, sisters, Veronica (Guadalupe Gamino) Melchor, Nancy Melchor, Jessica (Daniel Kelley) Melchor, girlfriend, Maria Rodriguez and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents. He is also survived by his Indian Family Members
Eric was a happy person, always willing to help out family or friends in need. He was very proud of both his family heritages. He loved old school low rider cars, and cruising the town.
A viewing will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2010 with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.

Wow how time has passed my friend....can't believe it's been a whole year. I miss you like crazy and think of you daily, but I know I have all of the memories of you,which are locked away in my heart and will cherish them forever.
Your presence here in earth has not been forgotten and never will be. I must run now, but one day we will meet again. I know it

ALTHOUGH I NEVER WAS CLOSE TO ERIC. LET ALONE MEET HIM VERY FEW TIMES. I KNOW HE WAS A MAN TRYING TO MAKE IT IN THIS WORLD. MANY HAVE FELT THAT STRUGGLE AND THAT PAIN. HIS SON IS MY NEPHEW. AND I KNOW ELIAZ WILL MAKE ERIC A PROUD FATHER. ERIC WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF ELIAZ'S LIFE. MY LOVE AND RESPECTS TO HIS FAMILY. AND MUCH CONDOLENCE'S.

For the short time he was here on this Earth he made such a large difference in my life, he made me realize so many things I took for granted...I'm gonna miss our hour long conversations about anything and everything, his voice at the other end of the phone always made my worst days better. We shared so much during the last months of his life and I will cherish them forever. He was such an intelligent, caring, compassionate young man, despite all the bumps he endured in his road of life, he always had a good outlook for himself. He had so much love for his families in Boise, Owyhee and Caldwell, especially his Grammas Velta and Lizzy, whom he always mentioned in our conversations.
To all the families of this young man I send you my condolences and prayers. He will always have a special place in my heart. And thank you, Eric for just being you. Until we meet again my friend much love and respect.

Dear Family of Eric, I am a volunteer Chaplain for the Canyon Sheriff Office. I intended to attend the service for Eric, but came down with an illness. I am very sorry for your loss and have been praying for you all in this very hard time.

Eric, you were always a good friend and growing up you were a big part of making me the guy I am today. Even though we lost contact I thought about you and the guy's all the time. I'm going to miss all the time's we had together and I will visit you often. Love you bro.

The brief time I knew Eric, he was a proud man trying to make it in this world. He had great love for his son, his mom Vel and his siblings, nieces, nephews, everyone. He was known in both worlds of his families, Native and not. I pray for comfort for all and peace for Eric, his pain will be no more and he is truly free. Love to you all.

Little brother, you will be loved and missed by all, your Boise, Owyhee and Calwell family. Eric was always the competitor, whether playing his Nintendo games til he won, or out fancy dancing with the boys or playing football, baseball or basketball, with his team, the Big Dogs. You will always be in our hearts, your are now on your journey and are free.
