Joe was about the kindest, most thoughtful man I ever knew. I am so glad I hugged him the last time I saw him. I have never forgotten his gentle smile and the overwhelming spirit when he would talk about life lessons and spiritual experiences. He moved mountains even when saying nothing. I am so sorry I didn't get to see him one more time. The world is less with him not in it.

Joe was a dear friend of my husband Gene Erickson when he worked in Pocatello at the Hotel. I called to visit with Joe at Christmastime, but he was unavailable. Thank GOD, I left him a message. Joe was there for me when Gene died, and I know he is sharing his Music in Heaven. He Will be Missed Prayers Faith Erickson/Giardina

Dear Green Family,
We will sorely miss "Grandpa Joe", as we miss "Grandma Ruth". Your mom and dad have been a bright spot in our lives the past 6 years, and have become like family to us. We will miss the many hours we've spent talking, hanging out, and playing music. They have been so kind and loving to us, and have welcomed us with open arms as adopted members of your family. Joe was a loving father figure to me. We are so grateful for the short time we were able to know them, and look forward to meeting them in Heaven! Thank you for sharing them with us-we needed them.

My dad, Sydney A. "Bert" Horrocks, was a physician. Many times while making rounds in the hospital, he would be asked to give a priesthood blessing. More often than not, he would call Joe to assist him. One day, I asked my dad why he called Joe when he knew so many other able men. His answer was simple: "I always knew Joe would be worthy." We'll miss you, Joe! -Dan Horrocks and family
