Larry Roberts Obituary

Larry Dean Roberts
POCATELLO - Larry Dean Roberts, 69, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away December 9, 2011, at a hospital in Murray, Utah, following a sudden heart attack.
He was born on January 26, 1942, in Cascade, Idaho, to Juanita June (Nightingale) and Clifford Vernon Roberts. He graduated from Cascade High School in 1960, and continued his education at Idaho State University, receiving his B.S degree in math education in 1967. He had also taught flagging at ISU's work force training.
Larry married Susan Kay Carver on June 1, 1974. Larry and Sue managed the Oxbow. 
Larry taught math at Irving Junior High and also at ISU. He had also worked for the Forest Service, was a construction inspector from 1987 to 1990, and then a records inspector for the State of Idaho from 1990 until 2011, recently retiring from the Idaho Transportation Department. 
He belonged to the Bannock Humane Society and enjoyed playing Santa Paws. He also became interested and skilled in jewelry design and repair. Most of all, Larry loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sue of Pocatello; sons, William (Rachael) Roberts of San Francisco, California, and Matthew (Virginia) Roberts of Pocatello; sisters, Linda Jo Ford of Cascade, Idaho, and Nancy Lee Roberts of Centralia, Washington; and brother, Randy Gene (Gay) Roberts of Kamiah, Idaho; as well as grandchildren, Bella and Sam. He was preceded in death by his parents.
As per his wishes, Larry will be cremated. A celebration of life may be announced in the future.
