Hazel Jeannie Viker died peacefully at her home on May 20, 2013. She was born November 26, 1936, in Springdale, Idaho to Herman and Sarah Rasmussen.
She was raised and started her family in the Magic Valley area and married Sam Hamilton in 1964. She began her career as a Beautician at the Artistic Salon in Burley, Idaho. Mom was an avid bowler and went to several state tournaments.
Jeannie moved to Boise with her children in the mid 70's and married Dean Uhrich. They were actively involved in the Boise Elks. She adored his kids; Scott, Tony, Candace and Jeri Ann. She worked at Carrolls, Brookovers , Family Beauty and Becky's Salons until retiring.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Spoiling them every chance she got. She loved her flower gardens and collecting old hats and hat pins.
She loved to travel and would have traveled more if her health would have allowed it. She enjoyed going to McCall and California and had recently visited the New England states.
She was the eldest child of Herman and Sarah Rasmussen and is survived by Bertha Mae Murri (Mother) and her sisters Doris Carroll and Gwenia Callao and her brothers Gary and Allen Bronson and their families.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Donn (Syd) Viker and his children; Julie (J.R.) Means IIl and family, Newport Beach, CA; Morgan (Teresa) Viker and family, Boise; Daughter Andrea (Gene-o) Gibbs, Boise and Son Charles (Genii) Hamilton, Boise; Grandchildren: Amber (Rene), Matt, Rylie and Samantha. Great Grandchildren: Brendan, Adrianna, Kyrsten, Kammy and Aiden Sital.
She is preceded in death by her two darling angels Dallen and Jackie Neddo, her first husband Melvin J. Neddo and Dean Uhrich.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering for family and friends, Saturday June 29, 2013, at Gene-o and Andrea's home from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
