1957 - 2017
Raymond Lee Hart, 60, lost his courageous battle with cancer on May 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife, family, and friends. Ray and his twin sister, Renee, were born in Ontario, Oregon to Thoral and Myrtle Hart, on March 1, 1957. The Hart family resided on the Oregon side, where Ray attended school through the 8th grade. He went to Weiser High School and graduated in 1975.
It is indisputable that Ray was a man of great work ethic and integrity. He shared his time and many talents with everyone and could fix anything that was not exactly perfect. Those who were lucky enough to know Ray would easily call him a "Jack of All Trades". When he was 16, Ray learned how to be a butcher at Chuck's Freezer Meats. He was a dive-rescue specialist for Washington County and became an EMT-A for the Washington County Paramedics in 1988. In 2013, Ray retired from the ambulance service to spend more time with his hobbies and toys. Ray liked to hunt, water ski, fish, bow hunt, paint automobiles, restore vintage camp trailers, and help anyone who asked for it. One of his most recent carpentry jobs was finishing the home he and Suzanne built. Ray is survived by his wife of 38 years, Suzanne; sisters Renee Hendrickson (JR) of Weiser, Idaho, Mary Coon (Torry) of Weiser, Idaho; Amy Chattin of Boise, Idaho; Linda Lang of Baker City, Oregon; brother Ed Hart (Julie) of Cambridge, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a very special place in Ray's enormous heart.
A memorial service for relatives and friends will be held at Thomason Funeral Home, 221 E. Court Street, Weiser, Idaho on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of his life will follow at Rolling Hills Golf Club, 50 W. Indianhead Road, Weiser, Idaho.
