Anderson, SC
Robert E. "Bobby" Whitten, 73, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.
Born on April 1, 1940 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Nellie Marie Whitten and husband to Norma J. Whitten. He was also a Veteran, having served in the US Army, worked for 38 years at Wamsutta Springs and was a member of Taylor Memorial Penicostal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons; Robert Eddie Whitten and wife Pam and Michael A. Whitten, Brothers; Tommy and Furman Whitten, Sister; Olga McCollum, as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday November 30, 2013 at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel, officiated by Rev. Brent Lollis and Harry Osborne. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. prior to the service.
The family will be at the home.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
