Cleveland Brown Obituary

Cleveland Brown, Sr. April 11, 1931 to Oct. 26, 2008 77, died Sunday at Methodist Hospital. He was born in Holcombe, MS and moved to Indianapolis, IN where he resided for the remainder of his life. He worked for Merchants Bank and National City Bank where he retired after 35 years of service in 1989. Cleveland was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia M. Brown and his children, James Brown, Alberta Brown-Johnson and Maurine Morrison. He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Newburger Brown of Bruce, MS and his children, Carolyn Brown-Jones of Fresno, CA, Amy Jude, Clifford M. Brown, Cleveland Earl Brown and Harry Morrison all of Indianapolis, Patricia Brown-Hughes of Toney, AL, Rita Brown-Franklin of Belleville, MI; 29 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service following at 12 p.m. at the Eastside Seventh Day Adventist Chruch, 3243 N. Sherman Dr. with Elder Leroy Logan and Elder Charles Willis officiating. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fishers Family Funeral Service.
