I met Bruce during the weekend of "Corvettes at Carlisle" in August of '99. It was the first trip for us both to that event. Quickly it became our favorite Corvette activity. In fact, we always referred to that show as our grown-up "Christmas," the anticipation was so great each year! Bruce and I immediately became very close friends, as the two of us shared so much in common. We always roomed together on any of our various trips, whose travels took us from Pennsylvania to California and many locations between. We became known amongst our travel companions as "Neiman and Marcus" for our shopping prowess, as Bruce's many sets of wheels and tires can attest! As all of us would arrive at a show, Bruce and I would instantly split from the others to get a jump start on our list of shopping items to pursue. With Bruce's passing I have lost a very dear friend and so much more. Though my life will never be the same without him, the times we shared have forever shaped who I am. Bruce's strong religious convictions helped to keep my proper perspective in both good and bad times on many occasions. That is the kind of person Bruce was, and the impact his friendship could bestow. My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Bruce's family, friends, and his Corvette fraternity. Heaven has become a more perfect place with your presence! May you rest in peace, my brother.
