Joanna M. Hollis
Of Whitestown passed peacefully into God's loving arms July 8, 2012. She was born to the late Newell and Regna (McMaster) Motsinger on September 3, 1923 in Champagne, IL. She was a graduate of DePauw University, where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.
Joanna loved to read and write short stories, but her greatest satisfaction came from her role as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Referred to by her family as "fun-loving" and "the world's oldest ten-year-old", Joanna truly enjoyed life and brought great joy to others. She is survived by her children Shelley (Steven) Leinicke and Mark (Lecia) Hollis and grandchildren Jennifer Leinicke, M.D., John Leinicke, Sarah Hollis, and Kennith Hollis. She is also survived by her former husband, W. Kennith Hollis and her brother Richard Motsinger.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Zionsville.

Jo was a dear neighbor and friend. We shared a love of horses and nature in general. Dinner at her country house was always a feast! We talked about books and music and whatever touched our hearts. I have a small painting she gave me in my Tucson living room which always brings back good memories. Kristi Keller
