Louis Rich Obituary

Louis W. Rich 78, Indianapolis, formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, went to be with the Lord at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2006, at his residence. He was born May 18, 1927, in Moss, Tennessee, the son of Buford and Dora (Green) Rich. On September 15, 1956, he married Odella F. Ridings in Kokomo who survives. He attended Celina High School. He retired from Cabot Corporation in 1986 after 35 years of service. He was an inspector in the Investment Casting Dept. He was a member of the Stellite Quarter Century Club and a member of the Howard Community Hospital Volunteers, Kokomo, IN. He attended Lakeview Church, Indianapolis, Indiana. While living in Kokomo, he attended and was a charter member of Calvary Temple Church. He was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, as well as serving on the board and singing in the church choir. Surviving in addition to his wife, Odella F. Rich, are two daughters, Trina L. Rich of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christi R. Richardson and husband Richard W. Richardson of Castile, New York; One grandson, serving in the United States Air Force, Airman Brandon L Richardson; a brother, Rev. Cecil Glenn Rich (Pastor of Calvary Temple Church) and wife, Donna Rich of Kokomo; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt-Allie Burnett of Tipton, IN. Services will be held at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with Reverend Ron Bontrager officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Moss, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Odyssey HealthCare, (a hospice care organization) at: 5303 Lakeview Parkway South Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
