Joyfully entered his eternal home just 9 days short of his 95th birthday on Sunday, March 16, 2014. His was a long and fruitful life, dedicated to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Paul was born March 25, 1919, in Roseville, Ohio, to George and Ethel Hand Boulton.

He loved puns, the cornier the better, and always had a deep appreciation of humor and wit. His greatest earthly joy was his family, always welcoming with open arms and never leaving without saying "I love you!"

Paul served in the U.S. Army AirCorps during World War II. While he was serving in World War II, he felt the Lord's call to full time ministry. When he returned home from the war, he enrolled in Johnson Bible College, where he met his first wife, Helen (Jones) Boulton. They were married in 1951 and together had five children.

After graduating from Johnson, he served congregations in Cincinnati (Indiana), as well as other Indiana towns of Carthage, Jasonville and Camby. He had a gift for meeting people where they were and ministering to them. He looked for practical ways to live out his faith and his compassion for others was exemplary.

He became interested in computers during the 60's, teaching himself computer skills while volunteering at Methodist Hospital Children's Pavilion. Eventually, he became employed by IUPUI, retiring in 1989 as a Computer Consultant. One accomplishment of which he was most proud was developing a computer program that was able to show a clear statistical connection between smoking and cancer. He developed the program and later analyzed the data that was provided from area hospitals. His program was used throughout the nation for several years.

After Helen's death in 1983, he married Zoe (Monnier) Boulton in 1987 in Hawaii, and added Zoe's daughter, Diana to the family as well.

Survivors include his wife, Zoe; daughters, Nancy Abshire (Gary) of Brownsburg, Beth Sanders, (Rob), of Avon, Diana Cleland (Tom) of Carmel; sons, Ric Boulton (Kathy) of Nashville, IN, John Boulton (Julie) of Indy, Steve Boulton (Anita) of Indy, as well as 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, March 19th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway . On Thursday, March 20th calling will be at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. in Allisonville Christian Church, Castleton. Interment will take place at a later date.
