Paul Haupt Obituary
58, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 17, 2015. He was born on September 29, 1957. Paul was a graduate of Purdue University. Paul is survived by his mother, Eleanor Haupt; brother, Eric Haupt; cousins, Lisa Haupt Miller, David Haupt, Daniel Walker and Amy Spurrier and their children, Bradley Walker, Brian Walker, Brett Walker, Hanna Spurrier and Haley Spurrier; Aunts, Sara Walker, Carolyn Wheeler and Lois Haupt. He was preceded in death by his father, Arno W. Haupt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Online condolences may be shared with the family at

I got to know Paul over the last few years in Wurm online. He was one of the nicest people I have known and was truly a cornerstone of our little online community. He will be sorely missed - rest in peace Paul.

I've known Paul for two years through a video game we played together. I've never met a nicer person. He was true blue. Kind through and through. This world is a darker place without him. He will be sorely missed. I've very sad to hear of his loss.

I knew Paul from online gaming since 1998. Kindest soul I have ever met. Although I never met him in real life, I considered him a close friend. My condolences and prayers go out to his family. May he rest in peace.

Paul and I were closest friends back at our Purdue college days and since maintained contact albeit loosely at times. He always treated me like a younger brother and took me under his wing at Purdue. Nicest guy that one could know and thankful I did. I will miss him dearly.

Paul and I were classmates at PMHS and at Meridian Middle School prior to that. That was decades ago, but his benevolent character and excellent, dry sense of humor still stand out in my memory. I cannot tell you how sorry I was to learn of his passing. My deepest sympathies to the Haupt family.
