Robert Watson Obituary
Robert T. "Bob" Watson
80, of Indianapolis, passed peacefully to be with the Lord, January 20, 2015, in Ormond Beach, FL. Bob had countless friends and an unyielding zest for life and laughter.
Born May 19, 1934 in Indianapolis, Bob attended Saint Philip Neri Catholic grade school and was a 1952 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. Bob then married his wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Watson. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Ord, California where he was honorably discharged in 1955. After returning to Indianapolis, Bob went to work at the GM Stamping plant where he retired with 34 years of outstanding service.
After Bob's retirement, he and B.J. then moved to Ormond Beach, FL. There he became the Executive Vice President of the Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Volusia County. Known as "FMO Bob" he served that position faithfully for 10 years. Bob attended and served at Our Lady of Lords Church in Ormond Beach. Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Wednesday at 12:00 Noon.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, B.J.; sons, David K. (Marilyn Sue) and Richard A. of Indianapolis; and daughter, Suzanne E. Benitez (Juan) of Lafayette, IN. Let us now celebrate his life and memories. http://www.shirleybrothers.com.
