Robert Wininger Obituary

Robert Eugene Wininger 78, French Lick, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008, at his residence. Bobby Gene was born on August 11, 1929 to the late Gene Wininger and the late Ruth (Denbo) Wininger. He was a 1947 graduate of French Lick High School, and a 1957 graduate of Butler University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Maxine Allen on June 27, 1954, and she survives. Bobby Gene was co-owner of Orange County Beverage Company. He was a member of Beechwood Christian Church and the American Legion Post #76. He was Past Master of the French Lick Masonic Lodge #586 F & AM, a past member of the French LickWest Baden Lions Club and the French Lick Board of Aviation. Bobby Gene also served on the Springs Valley School Corporation Board and was a past official for IHSAA Basketball and Baseball. He was an avid golfer and quail hunter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Barry Mark Wininger (Donna) of French Lick; one daughter, Jill Renee Hagan (David) of Fishers; and four grandchildren, Justin Robert Wininger (Cherish) of French Lick, Daniel Evan Hagan, Jessica Renee Hagan, and Damon Phillip Hagan of Fishers. Arrangements are being handled by T.L. Pinnick Mortuary, 785 South Bears Bend Road, French Lick, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, officiated by Rev. Terry L. Pinnick. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Interment will be at Ames Chapel Cemetery in Paoli, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the Springs Valley Educational Fund, co T.L. Pinnick Mortuary. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.tlpinnickmortuary.com.
