Russell "Joe" Lockwood

Mooresville - Russell "Joe" Lockwood, 83, of Mooresville passed away June 14, 2021 at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. Joe was born December 14, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Russell E. Lockwood and Catherine D. (McMurray) Scarbourgh.Russell proudly served in the United States Navy as a builder general. He worked for Chevrolet on the assembly line, Welfare Finance as a manager, Citizens Bank as the Vice President, and owned Joe Knop Ford dealership in Plainfield. Joe was a Christian, who attended the Plainfield Christian Church. He was an avid golfer. Joe will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Dawn E. (Frank) Gunnell - Accavitti, Kelly S. (Larry) Campbell, Terry Jo (Rick) Jackson, and Andy (Stephanie) Hofer; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.Friends and family will gather for Joe's Life Celebration® visitation Thursday, June 17, 2021, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville; funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Please visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
