Dear Ann, Pat, Carol, Diane, Janet, Rita & Linda,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I know he is happy now. He is doing the same things he always did when he was younger & feeling good. I still see your dad walking down Morris St. He always wore the dark blue work clothes. There are some memories you just don't forget. I'm glad I had the fortunate opportunity to grow with your family. My prayers are with you. May God Bless you all. A childhood friend, Joanne Marcial

Ann, Pat, Carol, Diane, Janet, Rita, and Linda,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I just thought of so many memories of Charlie, I would like to share them with you.
Anyone who had ever met Charlie knows how much family meant to him. He was tough on the outside and had the biggest heart. He loved his kids even though when they called the house he never knew which one called. Ann would say "who called"? Charlie would say " your daughter? Ann, which one? Linda? But it would be Diane. Charlie loved his grandchildren too! Every time the kids would come over you could see his eyes light up!
I had the privilege of living at Charlie and Ann's house temporarily, for 3 years. In that time I got to witness Charlie first hand. This is where the Charlie stories came into play. Charlie as some people knew him as"Crazy Charlie" He used to say, I let them know I'm crazier than they are"! I use to hear stories about when he worked and how he made the best coffee. He use to say " I'm the boss , I says!! Every night at 7pm, the number would come on and he would sing " Pennsylvania Robbery". I still sing that every night when I see the number.
Charlie liked collecting stuff. I mean stuff!! In the basement, Charlie collected coffee cans over the years and we are talking hundreds of cans filled with every nut, screw, bolt and nails. It was like a hardware store.
Out in the yard was another adventure. Charlie collected storm doors and aluminum. He said this is worth a lot of money!! Ann took everything is stride.
There is no woman in the world that can come close to Ann as a wife or mother. She stood by Charlie and insisted on caring for him no matter how tired or warn out she may have felt. Ann, you are a remarkable woman and the strongest person I know.
Charlie is an Angel, who is now at peace, but you know what he is telling the other Angel's. "I'm the boss"
I love you all very much,
Carol

Uncle Charlie was a hard working familly man. He is loved by his nieces and nephews, and family. He had a good sense of humor, and I will have fond memories of him. Rest in peace, Uncle Charlie. Ken
