CHARLES J. SR., "The Big Guy" on Oct. 10, 2013. Beloved husband of 57 years to Joan B. (nee Stoltz), loving father of Charles, Jr. (Terri), Joanne (Bill) Rocha, Stephen (Kathy), and Patricia (Randy) Hyska, dear brother of Eileen Marks and the late Rita Bianchi, cherished "Pop-Pop" of 14, great 'Pop-Pop" of 5. Chalie was a retired employee and franchise owner of Tastykake. He was an umpire and referee for 35 years with the Philadelphia and Lower Bucks chapters of the PIAA. Family and friends are invited to Chalie's Life Celebration Wed. after 7pm and Thurs. after 9am at JOHN F. GIVNISH OF ACADEMY RD., 10975 Academy Rd., Phila. 19154 and to participate in his Funeral Mass 11am at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila. 19114. Int. Resurrection Cem. So, the angels came for him at last. Mr McDowell was and ever will be the most lovable of people. Goodness was his creed and he was faithful to it always. He is now liberated from earth's cares and troubles.I will always remember fondly all of the hours we spent together at Chalfont Playground--scorekeeper and referee. He made the job so much fun. I will miss you Mr. McDowell
